Today is the day. All the food and fun stops. If you see me walking or running and I beg you to give me a ride (and cheat), drive off and leave me in the dust please, even if I am crawling. Don't give me any food or wine. Don't ask me to lunch at places where I will eat like a pig. Don't wave really yummy wine in front of my face.

I have a whole fridge full of fruits and veg, and it will take me the beter part of a day to cut them up.

Skunky told me I should wait until Ash Wednesday. Nope, I am not changing my plan. I picked today so today is the day! It is time to get back in my clothes and touch my toes!

Thought I would share a low cal delicious FROZEN meal introduced by Trader Joes called Chicken Serenada.
Fire grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast topped with grilled onions, sweet peppers, and poblano chiles and finished with their exclusive Euro-Asian caribe sauce. It's lively flavors include ginger soy pinapple and the secret ingredient...a touch of coconut. They developed this entree for two with a world renowned chef.
I put it atop their Thai Style Rice Pilaf which has coconut milk and lemon grass. Comes already fully cooked. The combination was delightful.
Here is the caloric content for the Chicken Serenada and here it is for the Thai Style Lime Rice. Both dishes could be stove cooked or microwaved.

I don't get excited about frozen pre-cooked dishes, but this was like eating at a 5 star restaurant. If you get a hold of it, you're in for a real treat.

ok,
SO today was my first training session.
it was one hour of torture!!! JK, my trainer did a great job.(BUT IT WAS TORTURE;-)) However when I was finished I was way out of it. I told him I felt like I was coming out of anethesia. I drove home in a daze, layed down on the bed and slept hard for an hour. Can anyone tell me what this strange feeling I had was??? endorphins maybe???

I am now keeping a food diary. It is amazing when you write down everything you eat :yikes:

I think it IS endorphins. When I USED to work out w/ a trainer, he always suggested I eat an apple or a banana for energy on my way TO the work-out... and then
DRINK TONS OF WATER not only during, but also AFTER. It helps flush all those toxins out of your system that get "riled up" during the workout, and helps your muscles to "repair".
I always found breathing (never-the-less breathing "right") to be a really difficult thing to remember to do...duh.
GO IBD!!
