I think it IS endorphins. When I USED to work out w/ a trainer, he always suggested I eat an apple or a banana for energy on my way TO the work-out... and then
DRINK TONS OF WATER not only during, but also AFTER. It helps flush all those toxins out of your system that get "riled up" during the workout, and helps your muscles to "repair".
I always found breathing (never-the-less breathing "right") to be a really difficult thing to remember to do...duh.
GO IBD!!

well I did get the breathing down. OMG I would have passed out if not. :D but i will try a banana and the mega amounts of water....

ok,
SO today was my first training session.
it was one hour of torture!!! JK, my trainer did a great job.(BUT IT WAS TORTURE;-)) However when I was finished I was way out of it. I told him I felt like I was coming out of anethesia. I drove home in a daze, layed down on the bed and slept hard for an hour. Can anyone tell me what this strange feeling I had was??? endorphins maybe???

I am now keeping a food diary. It is amazing when you write down everything you eat :yikes:

this sounds like you may have done too much for the first session. I don't like the sound of "torture" and your strange feeling. endorphin rush is a happy, lovely, calm feeling (for me). maybe your body needed more food/energy before work out time. paula???

you'll be fine. your body needs some adjustment though. ask JK to take it a little easy for a while. you've got time. a little pain is okay, but not too much. you are no spring chicken - JK - yes you are.

:rotfl::rotfl:spring chicken. ha. I am not....although Minnie thought I was in my 20's.

It was not really torture just me being a out of shape wuss who hate lunges...:D I think food was the biggest thing. The strange feeling was just that - strange. I will talk with my trainer at the next session and see what can be done.

Ash Wednesday is not that far away. This year it is soooooooo early...

ALWAYS eat before exercise! I usually go to the gym in the am, but one day had to go in the early afternoon...no time for lunch...almost passed out!
