Good Morning!:wave:

Have a I mentioned I hate the rain? :angry: The next few days are not going to be nice around here. I thought it was April showers bring May flowers not the other way around. Guess I'll be working out indoors again. It's so hard to get and stay motivated if it's dreary.

Today's breakfast: Kashi GoLean cereal and a few almonds and coffee.

I need to go to the grocery for fresh fruit for breakfasts and snacks.

Has anyone tried "green bags" for fruits and veggies? It's a as seen on tv infomercial thing. They have them at Target and they're supposed to keep things fresh for a long time. I did buy the Topsy Turvy upside down tomato hanger.:D

what the hail? is this like a banana hammock, I mean hanger, or whatever you call the thing that holds your bananas?:lol:

:lol: I knew I should have explained that more. It's for growing tomatoes. The tomatoes are supposed to ripen sooner and since I have crappy soil here I think it 's a good option for us. I'll hang it along our wood fence.

OL!! Where the heck are your fruits and vegetables? You need them. Here are the Good Health Guidelines from Weight Watchers (who were instrumental on me dropping two dress sizes, so you know it works :D)

Healthy Foods and Daily Recommendations

* Fruits and Vegetables--5 servings at least

* Whole Grains--as often as possible

* Milk Products--2 or 3 servings

* Water--6 (8oz) glasses at least

* Healthy Oils--2 teaspoons

* Lean Proteins--1 or 2 servings

* Added Sugar or Alcohol--limit your intake of these

* Multiple vitamin-Mineral--once daily 100% DV

I do have raw carrots and celery that I've been munching on. I forgot to mention those.:D You are so right tho....I think I do need to step it up.

No, I didn't see you post :blush: but I will shamefully tell you that I am in a glass house throwing stones because your house is exactly like mine. We don't have anything left except the frozen veggies and the remains of a big bag of carrots, thanks to the acres of dandelions that are calling my name. :bang: I haven't been to the store because the ground is so soft from the rain that it would be a downright shame not to pull pull pull!

All is not lost, though. One super thing about yardwork, even when it keeps us from grocery shopping, ;-) is that it burns a lot of calories. All the bending and stretching and walking and digging etc etc. It's all good!

I'm telling ya'll, its pucking hard keeping fresh fruits and veggies ready for munching or cooking at all times. gotta do it though. I'm very picky about eating only very fresh stuff. if lettuce has a bit of brown anywhere near the edge I can't do it. if an apple is not completely crisp and juicy, forget it.

Mermy - your list of foods looks almost identifical to the mayo plan I'm using as a guide. I'll have to compare.

This is hilarious. We are all posting our diet travails and it's under the heading "sports and recreation." :rotfl:

Toots, I'm the same way. It has to be fresh, fresh, fresh. And might I say that I have decided that I hate those bagged salads for that very reason. Besides, they taste like chemicals.
