Skip the YooHoo! Skip the Slim Fast!

Drink Guinness instead.

:clap:Mermy, I love you.

OL, thanks for getting this going again. I can feel the pounds piling on as I sit here. I've been stress eating and just being a slug since vacation. I need an intervention!

This is my little trick. I told it to DD and I'll share it again. It helps if you are careful with your budget, like I am! I think in banking terms. As in NO CREDIT!!

Say I want something really good, like those brownie bites from Costco that are 130 calories a pop and you could eat at least four of them. I think to myself if I want one/two/three+, I have to "pay" for them. Otherwise known as I have to exercise 130 calories' worth. OR I CAN'T EAT ONE. No pay, no play. No credit. Which means I can't say to myself, Oh I'll eat a couple and this weekend I'll take a 20 mile bike ride. No. If I eat one today, I exercise today. Cash on the barrel!

I swear that sometimes I am really lazy and I could be bothered less about exercising so I skip the goodie. I don't feel like working it off. Simple as that. Other times it's like the proverbial carrot at the end of the stick. Dangle that carrot (the brownie bite) and I'll follow it (exercise).

See? Keeping in shape is all about thinking in logical terms.

FYI Slackers,

I'm giving you a break until Monday. Be ready. Spend all your energy praying for the good folks of Texas.

Sgt. OL

:D...thanks, OL. In the meantime, could someone call the Riesen Company and tell them to stop production?

 Mermy should be made Treasury Chairman as well as Secretary of Health.
First order of business, exercise punch cards and if you met your RDA of exercise, you get carb credits. :rotfl:You missed your calling.

When I read labels and watch what I eat I find it hard to get enough calories to burn fat. I track my nutrition on www.sparkpeople.com and I need to look into their diet. It is recommended I eat 1200 calories a day and I usually end up around 1000.

Thanks for the tip on the website. It's really helped with tracking calories. I jogged 3 miles on the beach this morning. Much better than the bike. How's everyone else doing?

That's great..I always said if I lived by the beach I'd walk a lot more! Sorry I've been MIA lately with the wind storm and a really bad cold, I haven't been able to focus on anything else. You all keep this thread going tho until I feel better!

I've been very good - already went to swim laps 2x this week!

Awesome!!!!:clap:Keep it up!
