Hurlburt Special Ops airmen start 824-mile walk | san, special, airmen - Northwest Florida Daily News
"AN ANTONIO — A dozen airmen have begun an 824-mile trek over the next 11 days to commemorate 12 special tactics airmen who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Seven of the participants are from Hurlburt Field. The other marchers are stationed at Keesler and Lackland air force bases."
Just wanted to share this. Many in our community may not be aware of the truly unique men and women of this very special Command who live among us.
Their efforts in preserving our freedom take some unusual turns in some very remote places...and because of the nature of their mission, they are not able to be recognized nearly enough. The sense of "family" they exhibit for one another is remarkable--we all owe them a debt of gratitude, IMO.
