Why do you let them get away with it if you see them doing it?
We are catching many of them & working w S Walton police. We can confront them in the store but can’t physically search them in the store, only police can do this. They also have to leave the store w merchandise before we can charge them…so it’s not as easy as it seems. We send videos to SWPD & they usually can find the kids.

Spring Break 2023
April 17 post on Facebook

It's here. We made it. We thought this day may never come.

Last weekend marks the final days of Spring Break. It's a good Monday - if there is such a thing. We think today should be some sort of holiday. Something fun like, "Spring B....ack to Where You Came From" Day.

In all seriousness, we really kicked up the law enforcement presence this year and we think it paid dividends. We met some nice kids and had a stern talking to with others. We took pictures when asked and even got some mentions on the gram. Overall, we tried to keep the quality of life on par with what you expect living in this small slice of paradise. All the while making sure to keep a close eye on our amazing home beyond the beach.

We will never let perfect be the enemy of great. There's always more we can do to improve. But, we appreciate you hanging in there with us. Here are some of the totals from this year's Spring Break.

Minor in Possession - 252
Traffic Stops - 3,007
Loud Party Calls - 161

I'm all for law enforcement protecting kids from hurting themselves and others,
but when did it become legal for a LEO to test the contents of a beverage on the
beach that isn't specifically obviously alcohol
i.e. a beer in a can or a seltzer or whatever they drink these days?

What constitutes probable cause for testing a drink in a Tervis, a Big Gulp cup or even :shudder: a Red Solo?

The fact that it's not in an original container. They also don't test the cup or the contents. The alcohol meters they use test the off gassing. No warrant needed for open air.

I'll tell the kids at the Whales Tail next year not to believe their eyes and it's only testing gas.

So, Is a fountain drink cup "not an original container"?

I don't require a gulfstream flying, Brioni suit wearing,
race pimp, celebrity shill lawyer to know the 4Th Amendment

Nah, you've got Trump for the first 3.5.

Let me know when of those privileged white kids files a lawsuit.
