What? No elvis'? My son is always wanting to be something bloody and scary. I was trying to talk him into being Donald Trump. He told me I was being lame. True I guess. I think we've settled on a zombie.
Weird Al Yankovich (sp?). I was with a group of girls in Indianapolis for a bachelorette weekend, and we had just finished several bottles of wine in the hotel and were heading out to dinner. The elevator door opened....and there he was! We saw who it was and collapsed on the floor in hysterics laughing- I think we scared him to death 'cause he closed the elevator door and went to another floor. As the door was closing, I'm sure he heard my friend shrieking "I don't think he's THAT ugly!"
John Denver stoned out of his gourd- eyes not just slits but glued shut. At the Hailemaile (again, sp?) General Store, Maui. Think he was smoking the local stuff sold by "Mike Maui".

David Letterman calls these "brushes with greatness." I had many at my first job - I was an usher at a local arena. Talked to Dottie West and Kenny Rogers (he told me I had pretty eyes..... 
) Got to shake Johnny Mathis' hand - not impressive. But I think my favorite was the tennis match between John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors. McEnroe was having one of his many temper tantrums - I was supposed to be quiet and professional working very close to the court, but I started laughing at his antics. Jimmy Connors then winked at me ;-) ! What can I say, I was 17 and completely starstruck (and yes, it was a LONG time ago!) Lately, I am much less impressed with celebrities - probably 'cause there are so many whose "15 minutes of fame" should be up!

A few weeks after Hurricane Katrina, we had a grand opening for one of our restaurants in New Orleans. We were able to arrange to have former President Bill Clinton, who was in town surveying the damage, join us for breakfast. That was pretty cool!
I played a round of golf with PGA golfer David Toms at the course he designed in Springfield, LA - Carter Plantation. (He wasn't impressed with my golf game...but he was really impressed with my florescent yellow Titlest hat, which he signed!)
I ate at Popeyes Fried Chicken with former Louisiana governor (and now federal prison inmate) Edwin Edwards and his now former wife Candy.
I went to a fraternity party at LSU and hung out with Shaquille O'Neal. The man's hands are enormous!

it's my understanding that Sheryl and Lance are no longer together...
...too bad...i liked them together...oh well, they never listen to me anyway...
