I have to admit I had one of the strangest things happen to me today and I've decided to share. Because I write for a local paper I can't comment on a lot of threads, especially in the political lounge because thats my beat. I have to keep my opinions to myself on local races and I work very hard to be an unbiased writer and give everyone a fair shake.
Today, I received my first "Deep Throat" phone call ever. The caller was nice, well spoken and even with a concealed voice they sounded to be in their 20's. They mentioned this board as well.:shock:
They shared with me a conspiracy theory directly opposite of the one that gets posted a lot in the political thread.
I did not ask to meet them as we have no parking garages nearby and I am a strict student of W&B.
I appreciate the nice things the caller had to say about my work and the paper I work for (they said they believed I am unbiased and that is why they called me) and I invited them to call me back at anytime.
I must admit I am still a little dazed from it. Who'd a thunk it. DFS is the epicenter of the conspiracy theorist union
I promised I'd put the questions to the candidates as I interview them as I had already planned on letting them all go on the record about these rumors, but still, it was a little surreal.
