Oh, scooty, wasn't trying to be depressing. While reading bob's post, I just happened to be watching a piece on CBS Sunday Morning in which the correspondent was strolling his granddaughter and talking about what she'd never experience. So I thought I'd chime in.

I still have my Corona in the attic. It's not beer -- it's the typewriter that I used in high school and college.;-)

Not yet - but I am sure SOMEONE will show it to me during a meal or event.
you can now project a movie on the back seat of the person sitting in front of you at the theatre. imagine the improvement in our quality of life!

Think I'd rather spend the same amount to visit one of our national parks and see something truly amazing and memorable.

Guess that's just my perverse life where I got 3 homecooked meals a day, have used a typewriter, went weeks or months w/o my parents checking up on me while I traveled foreign countries, rode on ferries, dress up for church etc. ;-)

Spoiler alert

They made a movie out of scooterbug's life.

Unfortunately they had to change the ending to one where the main character learns a lesson about progress and moving forward.

Not everything that is new is good and not everything that is old is bad.

A lot of people are learning lately that many "old fashioned" ideas about behavior, finances, and family are actually timeless and worth bringing back.

I like your way of living. Many of things mentioned my daughter has experienced.

One of her favorite gifts was a set of vintage pyrex that was bought on Ebay made in the 70s.
