Stupid Laws

I think I may have posted some of these in the past, but they still amuse me. Haven't Snope'd them...don't care.

Florida:
Men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown.
It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit.
Chickens are considered a 'protected species'.(Key West)

Texas:
It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing.
It is illegal to milk another person's cow.
It is illegal to urinate on the Alamo. (San Antonio ) -- Obviously, no one told Ozzy Osbourne

Louisiana:
Stealing an alligator could land a person in jail for up to ten years.
Biting someone with your natural teeth is "simple assault," while biting someone with your false teeth is "aggravated assault."

Louisiana?:
When I was at Tulane, we were told that fraternity members could live in the frat house, but sorority members could only have meetings and meals (no coed parties either) at their houses. We were told this was because more than 8 unrelated females living together was considered a brothel by Louisiana law.

However Snopes says this is an urban legend. If so, why weren't sorority members allowed to live in their houses?It's not any kind of protection of innocent young women thing because we had coed dorms and open dorms (meaning members of the opposite sex could visit and even spend the night as long as your roommate didn't mind).

On the Florida laws:

1. Almost violated that last night, will keep it in mind.

3. The ASPCA in Key West is constantly helping the chickens and protecting them from people who try to poison them, but there not protected.

The Key West chickens are protected - the city is a declared bird sanctuary & preserve and chickens are birds. (The city ordinances even specifically note that a chicken is a bird).

It is illegal for anyone to trap or harm them - though the city manager is legally allowed to issue a permit to destroy one that is destructive or obnoxious.

I can't wear a strapless gown while taking a fourth sip of beer as I take a whiz on the Alamo, but 'Plumbers Crack' is still a protected freedom of expression?
