I still haven't read it; I think I might be one of the last 5 people on the planet who haven't. (It's the same group of us who haven't seen "Talladega Nights"--me, SJ and 3 others.I just finished reading The Kite Runner and cried like a little baby. Absolutely beautiful.
Anyone else read it?

Uh-oh. SJ must have borrowed from the jdarg film library. It's now just you and 3 others who haven't been blessed by Ricky Bobby.Get with it, sista.
How did you like Loving Frank?
Uh, I think you mean great listen. ;-)I just finished The World Without Us by Alan Weisman. A nice little ditty about what would happen to the world if we all left tomorrow. Great read.
The Kite Runner was fabulous. Also, just finished A Thousand Splendid Suns - loved it. Reading Water for Elephants recommended by my sister-in-law.
pv, I agree. Loved, loved, loved that book. Didn't seem on the surface like something I'd like, but I did. I've recommended it to so many people.Water for Elephants is one of the most brilliantly written books I have ever read. I couldn't put it down. "Rosie" may be one of my favorite non-human characters ever written.
