Seen those guys so many times that I'm kinda done except for the occasional Neil Young. I am glad I went back in the old days; I am too old and too frugal now to hit a lot of concerts.
But am still hoping to somehow, some way see RHCP!

Michael Doucet & Beausoleil: Cajun band.
If you have never seen these guys play live, they are really something.
Check out their tour dates, they'll be out and about this summer.

I just found out that Red Hot Chili Peppers will be playing New Orleans in October. Might have to try to make that one.

Widespread Panic summer tour enough said

Anyone been to or going to Bonnaroo?

I did Bonneroo a couple of years back and decided to never return. That was one hell hole. If they changed the date to a cooler time of the year, it would have been more enjoyable, but it was miserable standing in the unshaded cow fields in the heat. Then when it did rain, it poured, the ground became a mud track about 20" deep where everyone walked. The humidity went sky high. For the last show, I stood in mud up to my knees and watched Trey Anastasio (formerly of Phish) play with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra (I think) as the rain continued to drip on my exhausted head.

In summary, Bonnaroo was too hot, too wet, traffic going to the show was too slow (a four hour drive to go less than 3miles) and had about 95,000 people too many for me to enjoy the shows. Somewhere back in time, I lost the enjoyment of such an event.

Here is the 2006 line-up for Bonnaroo (it is no wonder why 150,000 people roll into this small community of less than 3,000 people):
