I am planning a guy only fishing trip around Sept 19 to SoWal. Is this a good time to be coming down, I have fished in May and November and wanted to try something different. Also without giving up any top secrets, are some places on the coast better for fishing than others. I have always fished in Segrove around eastern Lake so I dont know if maybe some other spot would be better. I am just a novice tourist fisherman, promise that I wont hurt the fish population. Is there any kind of inexpensive places to stay for 1 person, not looking for anything with special perks, just a place to rest when not fishing. Oh yes, John at Yellowfin, I will be bringing the old debit card. :D

september is a pefect time to fish from shore. my best spots are either topsail state park or camp helen state park by the old pier when it comes to surf fishing. beach fishing in general is great this time of year and even better in september when alot of species will come closer to shore. the spieces are endless too. just get that bait out there far enough and youll surely pick something up. use a kayak to get it out there if your able. trust me, you wont be disappointed. good luck and maybe we'll cross path's on the beach.
