The last I checked, I didn't see "keeping the rest of the world in poverty" as one of our objectives. Possibly you're referring to the mention of re-localization on the blog. Personally, I believe re-localization and globalization each have their place. Funny, there's still an awful lot of poverty in a world that is so globalized. Maybe globalization hasn't had time to work its magic because there are so many of us grassroots relocalizers fighting to keep the rest of the world in poverty, under the guise of desiring a more sustainable community in this place we call home. Foreign trade and investment alone will not alleviate poverty.
