Capitalism didn't change at all. The current practice in this country, which you are describing, is not true free-market capitalism. As soon as government gets into the picture, and becomes a big giant whore, the market is no longer free. This is important because too many people just want to give up on capitalism, when in fact it is one of the things that made our country great. Not only that, large corporations with huge market caps have benefited a lot of people, some of them just average Joes. A lot of people wouldn't be able to retire if it weren't for the assets they have invested in these companies. It's understandable why today's young people flock to Sanders, because they don't give a crap about any of that, and neither does he. Hillary is at least in touch with all that, and so is our current president BTW.
