Okay -- I was really wondering about this so I called the Walton County property appraiser's office, and they told me that the CPI increase being used this year for taxable values is one-tenth of 1 percent, or .10.
(NOTE: I typed .01 in my postings above originally, apparently because I seem to be decimally challenged.
I edited as best as I can.)
So please -- for those of us who apparently have trouble with numbers, could you revise the figures in the first post to reflect the homesteading "recapture" rate of .10, as per state law? Thanks.
