Beach Runner..I think you're the first to notice my *name.* :clap_1: How do you think your old Coach Superior is going to do at South Carolina?
Well, my first allegiance is to The University of Florida. I just absolutely adore Gator football. I flipped out when Steve won for us, even if he can be somewhat of a jerk. Now that he's at USC, I hope he wins (but not surpasses UF) because one of my graduate degrees is from there.

I hate to break this to you, ellesu, but my undergrad degree is from Tulane. We always considered LSU our biggest rival, although realistically we couldn't compete with them. However, one year when my husband was on the Tulane basketball team, they beat LSU twice, and the booster club gave all of the players a gold basketball with a diamond embedded in it.

Maybe my name should be 2lane?

You'll love SoWal at Thanksgiving. Actually we had a lot of fun here tonight, watching football games at the bar at Shades.

Welcome Ellesu! I agree with the others, you will love SoWal!

We are going to be down Thanksgiving week as well, and it looks like Publix will be busy that week!

Everyone here should wear nametags so I will know who you are if I run into you! :rotfl:

Modica Market will also cook for Thanksgiving. They make an awesome squash casserole. My husband ordered a 10 year supply for last year - the food is great there. They have a website, too - www.modicamarket.com

They also have really good dressing, since I like to eat my weight in it during Thanksgiving.

Sandestin & Red Stick
And, the question I really wanted to ask is, are there any restaurants or grocery stores that we could order a Thanksgiving turkey from? I REALLY don't want to haul a turkey all the way from Baton Rouge.

Hi ellesu...

I think I saw frozen Turduckens at Shrimpers which is on 98 about two miles east of Sandestin. They also had boudin and andouille (couldn't find tasso though). You'll feel right at home!! :D

New Year's just makes me think of confetti in the Red Bar.

Ummmm....I've heard of the Red Bar. But I can't remember where. I'll look it up.

Don't you feel sorry for those who don't have beach memories?

Wonder what Stevie will paint, now that he can't beat Georgia anymore? Maybe SJ's frogs???

:lolabove: With Visor Boy's luck those 'froggie pictures' would probably make him a fortune. I don't think the visor's hit the ground yet, but it's come close....
