Alex came home last night. With a goatee!!! Wow. What a shocker to see him so grown-up looking. We've seen him with a fuzzy face before but this was manly face hair, not boyish fuzz. It's amazing how much they grow up when you don't see them often--it's so noticeable!! This might be hard to get used to, the fact that he's leaving his teen years behind. Wow.

FYI..I am 44 and my daddy still worries about me coming in late when I am at his house!!! I don't think that ever ends.

Never has with me. My rule was as long as you are on my payroll, under my roof, eating my food and turning my home into a B&B every weekend, you can bygod call me on the cell phone I pay for, to let me know you'll be late or not coming home.

I still worry about them though. Even if they are both grown up and mature adults. It's a Mom thing!

that was the rule at our house too, my mom never got to sleep until first me then my sis when she got old enough to drive, got home. i think it's something moms never get over - i check in every night, even on vacation, and if i am working i email every day.

Preach it momma! Words to live by. If I was living with my parents today I'd call and let them know something about my schedule so they wouldn't worry, and would know when to file the missing persons report.

SHE'S NOT EXAGGERATING!! :) I live under my own roof, pay my own bills, and have a child--and I still check in!! I do, however, expect the same of her. . .

"where are you, what are you doing"

Well that's happened at my house too. If I fail to call when I should and they can't find me, they have been known to start a search that rivals anything the CIA and FBI could do. They went through my phone book calling everyone, old boyfriends etc. I learned my lesson and they got me a better cell phone plan. No more excuses, it's very emabarrasing to be chastised by your children with your own words.

Just got back from lunch and talking to your little brother! Told him if he'd checked in like I asked him to last night, so I knew he got home OK. I wouldn't need to help him look for parts to fix his wrecked truck! That's what happens to "little boys" that don't mind their Mom's! :funn:

Seriously, glad he's ok! Don't work to hard and kiss Cammifunn for his Grana!

My baby is on her way to the BSU Leadership Retreat and she forgot her Malaria medicine that she has to take tomorrow morning for her trip to Africa. So, Mama has to drive to Pine Mountain tonight and give her the medicine. Well, I love road trips and will get to see where they are staying and get home at midnight and have to be at work early tomorrow. Love that girl! She has too much on her mind and too many different trips to get packed for. I am very proud of her and just heard today that steeleing3 got another 4.0 this semester. Did I mention steeleing2 was recognized at her graduation as top of her major. Don't know where they get their smarts! :dunno: It sure ain't from me!
