My favorites were always the Santa welcomes you in door cover (in foil if possible) with a pair of big ole electric candles on either side of the door.

For some reason, neither my Mother nor my wife would ever let me have this?

Saw some silver icicles in CVS yesterday. My daughter didn't know what they were.
I think I'll go back and get some for our tree. Used to love those things when I was a kid.

Bubble lights and tinsel were my favorite as a kid too! I wish I had that strand of bubble lights! I'd probably still sit in front of them and watch, even at this age.

We stayed in Old Florida Cottages one Thanksgiving and the home next to ours had an inflatable turkey on their balcony. We loved it! It was so funny.

I can't find the photo we took of it but it was very similar to this one...:D:

yep, this thread keeps me hohoho-ing too..

remember flocked christmas trees in the 70s? we thought they were just beautiful :)lol:). I wonder what the heck they used to make that stuff they sprayed on the tree?

That spray snow in the can. We sprayed it on our window so it looked like we lived in a story book.....then of course, there was angel hair...

Flocked Christmas trees -- asbestos?

No pix yet of the Walmart decoration extravaganza. The 25 mph winds today punctured the giant Santa and others. Second time they have needed replacement. Not good products. But then how many times have you gotten out year-old Christmas lights, half of which don't work? :bang:
