A curbside recycling program is what our area needs and has asked for over the years.
The county use to offer blue bags for recyclables...not sure they still do. The County also recycles at the transfer station, bales and markets it for sale. Recyclables are also recovered from the solid waste stream at the county landfill Material Recovery Facility prior to being loaded for transfer to Jackson County.

From everything I've heard, the blue-bag program is kaput. We used to do it.
Now we just take our recyclables to one of the recycling trailers nearby when
we accumulate enough. I don't mind doing this at all. I actually prefer it to
curbside. As for the "sorting" that occurs at the landfill, I suspect that's a feel-
good statement, but I could be wrong...

I'd like to be able to use a particular color bag to help with sorting at landfill if it would help.

Would like a silver spoon and someone to feed you too?
