What are your opinions?
I am appalled this is even being thought about, much less allowed.
I just shake my head.......Only in America, this "new" America.
This would have never been allowed by the GREATEST GENERATION.
Pearl Harbor comes to mind.........

If zoning rules allow religous structures for a given parcel of land, it is utterly un-American (see Bill of Rights) for the government to then go back and pick and choose which specific religous group or sect may or may not build on a parcel zoned to allow religous activity.

It's supposed to be a reformist mosque. Here's an interesting take from fivethirtyeight.com from somebody actually familiar with the city.

"It would not impose upon or offend anyone unless they were going out of their way to be imposed upon or offended."

President Obama needs to man up and come out against this mosque. There are over 100 mosques in New York City. This mosque is intended to be a monument to the attacks on September 11 of over 3000 innocent Americans. A symbol of radical Islamic superiority.
