That is good, SWGB. There's just no rhyme or reason for anything here. I like my sister's name a lot, Ginger. 
Actually, Ginger Leigh. I think my Mother had a thing with the spelling for all of us to be a little different. Oh, and my Aunt Dove. Dove Leigh. I'm onto somethere here. Dove is a beautiful name!

The is my brother Daryll Allen and my other brother Daryl Alan.
When with my son and grandson it is like this: I'm Daniel Alynn and this is my son Daniel Alynn and my grandson Daniel Alynn!!!!:rofl::rofl:
We are actually having issues in our family because my cousins (sisters w. babies 6 months apart) both named their kids John.
Grandpa - John F
Dad - John C (called by both names as a kid to distinguish him)
Brother - John B (called by first 4 letters of his middle name)
New second cousin - John McD (Not to be confused with his twin brother J McD)
Other new second cousin John MacI!
WAY too confusing! And of course, they made it impossible for my brother or I to use the name!

I think you're putting the baby before the shower.
How does it prevent you from using the name? Look at George Foreman.
One kid named John in a generation - ok.
2 kids named John in a generation - stupid.
3 (or more) kids named John in a generation - that family tree don't fork!

Well, I'm Herman Dean Barrow, Jr. The "Herman" is silent and I go by Dean.
When my father was born, my grandparents were going to name him Herman Neugene becuase my grandpa's name was James Eugene so..Neugene seemed to be a smart choice for them I guess.
Luckily for dad, the nurse wrote down Herman Dean and that is where we are now.
My mother was originally going to name me Andrew Dean after her brother that died at an early age but named me junior.
