wRobert, what is it with you and the newly developed Party Hack Tourette's syndrome? That's my name for the affliction which affects GOP and Democratic partisans who are unable to discuss any issue without using the term "Republican" and "Democrat" constantly, like a Tourette's patient spewing obscenities appropo of nothing. With you, now it's "change you can believe in", or "change", like repeating it again and again will convince everyone that everything is the new President's fault. The Democratic equivalent, I suppose, would be to put the phrase "Mission Accomplished" after every sentence.

I thought it was only affecting public figures - Nancy Pelosi and Mel Martinez have the worst cases - but now it is spreading into the general population, and I am concerned.

I'm sure Party Hack Tourette's warms the hearts of other die hard partisans, but the rest of the country is over the two parties wasting everyone's time pointing fingers at the other team. There's enough blame for everyone. Now, how about some solutions? We have some real problems, and jumping up and down and yelling "Foul" constantly is counterproductive.

Do you think the new National Health Care Plan will cover Party Hack Tourettes? That would be some change I could believe in.

Congratulations, you've just shredded the last of your cred. How is that helping your cause? I remember when you used to have meaningful discussions with the people who disagreed with you.

As a man I once worked with who always bought a new house in a high dollar section of town every few years, bought new luxury cars every few years but died poor and his sons had to sell the 200 acre farm that their grandfather worked all his life to pay for and leave his family said,
" I'm gonna live within my means if I have to borrow more money to do it"

Here4Good, Thanks for posting what I have been thinking but didn't have the guts to post. I feel like I'm back in Middle School sometimes.

Well, thanks, but I'm not trying to be courageous, I just think we need a higher level of discussion, especially from those who are supposed to be part of the solution. It's hard to not just criticize sometimes, but you have to stop yourself before it becomes your only position. We all sit and kvetch about the government, but I usually see the kvetchers posting some real facts and ideas, too.
