When the kids were younger and still at home, we used to line them up on the stairway and take a picture of them looking at the tree and presents with hungry eyes. We have a collage of them through the years framed that gets hung every year. I also used to read them the original Polar Express story before it was made into a movie. I have one of the original book sets with the cassette and the bell that you ring.

KISH, when do you put up your tree?

My wife and I put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. She then proceeds to go to her mother's house on Saturday and decorate their place. We actually start putting things up Thanksgiving week. She has tons of knick knacks that she changes out for the holidays and she have a Christmas Village that goes up each year. I built a bridge between 2 built in cabinets in the dining room that she sets up her village on.

I go to my mom and dad's house and we make homemade fruit salad. We cut up oranges,grapefruit,grapes,banannas and cherries. Mix in all the juice and let set for a couple of days. We have been making this since I can remember. My wife make klatchies with a ice cream dough. I just gum drop those suckers.
