Yep! I'm down May 18-21st. Are you going to be around? I don't think anyone but Allifunn- which is funn enough for me- is going to be down.

Actually...Kimmi is turning over a new leaf for the next couple weeks. I'm on the wagon. For a couple weeks I have decided to save money and maintain a healthy lifestyle excluding booze. Maybe make it to real church on Sunday!

I'll be there a bit before you -- May 6 - 10. Sorry we'll miss each other but I'm sure we'll cross paths another time and Allifunn and I can talk about you anyway!

Congrats on your plans for saving money and healthy lifestyle. If you get even healthier, then you'll have even more strength to drag those of us who stray over to the dark side back to the lounge!

And I'm really tempted to respond to Cork's post on the affordable housing thread. It's a good post... help me... If I just posted a few words, that would be OK, right... just a few...

A few words from you are worth more than 1000 from most people over "there" (dark side.....:D )

:funn: BTW I love that you said you have a Taylor Hicks do. That's amazing!

Well...I emailed Gfunn yesterday to ask for his lawyer's number since I plan to file for bankruptcy. Looks like mommifunn and daddifunn are going to have to bail kimmifunn out this month for rent. Sooo...I have no choice! And it'll be good for me. There's way too much to do other than go out boozing and wasting the weekend being hungover. Right?

You bet, Kimmifunn. You're too smart and clever! So, stay out of trouble, please. Now, let's think of what else you are going to do with your time that doesn't cost money (or much money) and doesn't involve alcohol...

You said earlier that you want to do healthy things -- and the weather is getting nice. How about hanging out at a library to see what they have to do there? Joining groups of people who do interesting things that are free or low cost? Volunteering? Going to inexpensive movies. Reading a good book at a nice coffee shop or restaurant? Going to bookstores when they have free or low cost talks by authors (some of these can be boring, but others can be very interesting). You can meet some interesting people if you put yourself in some of these situations.

Here's a good website you may enjoy -- it's about "authentic happiness" and it has some self-assessments that help you discover your "signature" strengths (and has some good readings). It's a very credible site because the founder of the site is the former head of the American Psychological Association and is a well-known and respected researcher.

http://www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu/

The idea is to build on your strengths and the first step is to identify them.

Hope this is helpful.
