Is this some kind of Christian mosque or are you saying that Jerry Falwell is a fascist?

Saying that all Muslims are out to kill all Christians is about as silly as saying that all Catholics are against contraceptives.

From all I hear, and that is all I know, about this mosque, it isn't the mosque that is scary. The scary is the guy who is pushing to have it built, and the terrorist organization that is funding it.

From all I hear, and that is all I know, about this mosque, it isn't the mosque that is scary. The scary is the guy who is pushing to have it built, and the terrorist organization that is funding it.

To me, the scary thing is that so many of my fellow Americans are so ready & willing to to deny freedom of religion to Islam to build a mosque in a place where they would have no problem w/ allowing a Christian church--that they are so willing to kick the 1st Amendment to the curb. These folks obviously never understood the concept of religious freedom to begin with. They're all for religious freedom as long as it means freedom for their particular religion--but not for those other weird & evil religions.

In generalized terms,ALL Americans are infidels in the eyes of fundamentalist muslims.Many Americans are,I could be one of them as well.

Actually Islam believes that Jesus was a prophet and that Christians and Jews are people of the book who already share in some of the truth and tenets found in the Koran. :roll:

From what I read, the guy who is pushing to have this building built is one of the most moderate Muslims in the country and is precisely one of the people who have condemned the radical Muslims. Also,the area that it is proposed to be built in has been a heavily Muslim populated area of New York for well over two hundred years, that has been called Little Syria. From my understanding, the people of New York are quite OK with this, and it's the radical right (i.e. Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin) that want to rabble rouse this into a much more devisive issue than it really is.

We are fighting these people in Iraq and Afghanistan and on the domestic front there are terrorist plots being perpetrated by Muslims. Not Methodists. Islam wants their plan to impose their worldwide caliphate by whatever it takes to get it done.

As far as Imam Feisal Rauf is concerned he refuses to release the info about where the $100 Million dolllars of funding came from. Have you ever built a house or a business? You have to tell where the money came from. He also says Israel needs to be obliterated off the face of this Earth. He also admires Hamas. He's not a good guy.

Historically Islamists use mosques as armories. The New York 13 story mosque(?) will be the founding of a militant line in the middle of Manhattan. Set off a bomb in there and kill millions.

You who are so thrilled over this mosque would fight to the inth degree to prevent The Ten Commandments from being on the wall in a public place or the Nativity being set up temporarily in your town. Freedom of religion coming from liberals is laughable.

Muslims who are seriously sensitive would never want to be so heartless about the feelings of people whose lives were forever changed by September 11.

It is out there for all to see. Muslim terrorists are taught to make use of our Constitutional freedoms. This becomes possible when confused liberals believe that non-American mass murderers are entitled to the same rights as Americans.
