I've gotten several GREAT leads thanks to my 30A friends and my SOWAL friends. Franny's hubby is going to act as contractor for me....LOVE him...asked if he has a brother 
Things are moving along FAST...or faster than I expected. They have machines in drying out as much as they can...taking all of my furniture out tomorrow.....soft items go one place, hard items go somewhere else, company is coming to pick up all my linens and clothing and drapes to clean....rest of the stuff is going to be packed up and taken somewhere else to be cleaned....then....the demolition begins. I'm going to look at places this weekend....would like to find something furnished that will allow my unfurry babies....but have found a couple of unfurnished things....we MAY need a Furnishe the house party!!! You know I love crazy stuff....so it could be VERY interesting....the uglier the better!!!!
Thanks everyone. I'm taking it one day at a time.....Deb wheeler stopped by this morning....I asked her if she had ANYONE else to write about besides me!

Oh and if you use those plastic hangers from WalMart, I used them cause they all looked pretty when they were all the same....well if you have metal shelving ...guess what.....THEY MELT TO THE CLOTHES!!! Not to self. Use WOODEN closet stuff from now on.

Glad you guys are alright. Hope the pups aren't traumatized. I've got a queen bed and mattress (no box spring but we can find you one) and lots of blankets and other standard household things if you need stuff to get you set back up. Just let me know and we'll find a way to get it over to you.

Thanks again everyone. Still in shock. Did find a place to rent month to month that will allow me to have my dogs. Went by yesterday morning. They have started pulling out all the sheetrock and insulation. House is completely empty. I had hopes of picking up a few things but, nada, all packed and gone. Don't even know what made it and what didn't. Hope the insurance process does not take too long. As they remove stuff we find more damage. I have tile floors and now there is a crack running from one side of the house to the other. The French Doors leading out to the back deck can't be opened or closed as it did something to the hinges. Ceilings are wet all around the downstair's rooms....Basically just a BIG mess. But I'm okay. Lola and Ricco are okay. We are headed to the gallery this morning.
