Army discharges gay officer.
Lt. Dan Choi, a 2003 West Point graduate who is fluent in Arabic, was an infantry platoon leader, serving with his unit in Iraq in 2006 and 2007.
He was not discharged for a homosexual act, but for violating the Army's Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT) policy; for openly declaring his homosexual orientation.
He says he wants to serve his country.
Is it time to change DADT?
