I was sitting in the kitchen with my mom and grandma, eating breakfast. One of the few memories I have of my moms mom. Was really too young to realize what had happened but knew it was big from their reaction.
I was on a training flight with my instructor while at Ft. Rucker. We both were stunned and immediately returned to base. It was a great loss to the nation.
