Hey out there in SoWal land. Today is the last day for the Green Home Challenge. I know, I have worn out my welcome :roll: but it has gotten down to who can drum up the most votes. :dothewave:
I'm reposting this to see if I can get those who might not have seen the challenge to vote for a fellow SoWaller.
Currently, I'm holding 2nd place by only 10 points!
Just to sum up contest: it is about the house that makes the most green impact.
We'd love to have a net zero home be in the top 3 - it is the only net zero in the contest.
I found something out the other day - there are around 45,000 Chelco members, and around 400,000+ Gulf Power customers - out of close to 1/2 million homes we are only 1 of 2 at net zero, the other being from Gulf Power. We love getting the word out because we feel we have learned so much doing this - way more than we knew this time last year when we were finalizing plans to build here. We love sharing so that others, who might be considering building, can take some or all of what we learned and do the samet. (we aren't selling anything -just sharing)
