Did she have her kids in the back also? That always irks me. I always keep my fingers crossed that when that happens, the driver gets pulled over. I am so glad that in this case, it did. I also pray that the person driving like that learns to respect their lives and others before someone loses theirs.

Glad it worked out!:D
Now if only they could have nailed the guy tailgating others and passing like he was in a Mini Cooper while piloting a tanker truck :yikes: It could have been full of gas for all I know.:bang:Alabama plates and an unfortunate lack of a 'hows my driving?' 800 number on the back.

Puck 1-800-how's my driving!

I used to get pissed at these incredibly reckless people, now I just call the po-po on them!

*FHP or 267-2000 (non-emergency line for Walton County Sheriff) if someone is driving so dangerously you are truly concerned they will hurt someone

Hoping it was the traffic unit that got her...if so, you can bet she didn't get away with a warning. Those folks bring in mucho revenue. ;-)

I wish they would catch a few of the folks that turn in front of everyone (well at least it seems like everyone on this board) at the intersection of Bay DR. & 98. They would have a field day if they sat there for eight hours one day. I have counted 4 near misses for failure to yield and 6 red lights run in the last 2 days. And that was just going to work and back!:D

Today's morning report from this intersection:18 wheeler flatbed with an Alabama plate ran the red light heading west on 98 (he passed me on the 65mph stretch going about 75mph). The truck's cargo that was so precious that warranted urgent delivery? PALM TREES!!!:bang:

my wife, the dog, the minivan and I almost had to leave I-95 last friday when a fully loaded car carrier[18 wheels] drifted into the emergency lane, corrected, and almost tipped over just a few yards in front of us! it was like shotgunning a case of RedBull to watch the smoking tires and jostling cars. the driver looked as if he needed to find the nearest rest stop bathroom as we passed.

Oh, I know. I maneuver that intersection at least four times a day. Mornings are usually OK but the later it gets, the worse it gets.

But would they still do it with a green-and-white with a blue light present?

You know to be honest.... they seem to be so oblivious that I doubt they would notice if one was sitting there.

West Hewitt is also notorious for red light running on 98. The timing of the left turn light is awful. It always changes just as a huge pack of cars approaches from the east... when it could've changed while those cars are still sitting at the 30A light! If you wait for the light to turn green, you're chances of getting t-boned are pretty darn good!
