Love your bullmastiffs, singinchicken. Here's my two English Mastiffs, but we lost our old girl Rosie (the fawn) last summer.

Thanks...I am not looking forward to that day for any of them. Our dogs are our kids. It will not be easy. The Bullies are still relatively young...6-1/2 for Max and 3-1/3 for Ali. Our Lab, Morgen, turned 13 in Feb. She's a little stiff but still all there upstairs!

Update on Huggs, he made it to day 8 and was having a perfect recovery. I had to leave him alone for a few hours and when I came back, he had figured out how to get to his knee even with the e. collar on :yikes:

I freaked out but got him back to the surgery center. Apparently he got the collar caught in his hip bone and pulled his knee up. He had on the largest collar they make, so they had to rig him a new one which was two taped together. That was Tuesday and we have had a rough couple of days but seem to be turning a corner today. His wound has begun to close up from being restapled and he just started putting weight on his leg tonight.

He was walking fine before he took out his stiches, so it was a big setback for us. :bang: So instead of getting his stiches out Monday, he has to wait until next Tuesday.... silly boy! Hopefully he will continue to recover, was really worried that he messed something up from his surgery when he wouldn't use the leg. Just wanted to send out an update

Sorry to hear of the set back. Hopefully he will be calmer this weekend and the wound can heal. Precious pups!
