Gina at Twist cut my hair today and I have a new reason to keep coming back to Grayton Beach! I kept hearing about this great hair stylist who came here from Atlanta, so went over today for a shearing. Have been doing the trek into San Francisco for cut-and-color for years, although getting a haircut while on vacation seems so much easier. Well, I love what Gina did with my hair. Twist Salon is located near Starbucks in Uptown Grayton Plaza on Highway 30A. It is to the north of Starbucks, at your 11:00 a.m. direction. Can't promise what will transpire tomorrow when I have to style this hair, but for today...I spy a great haircut! Thanks, Gina.

Those two girls who started Twist get lots of business and their customers seem very pleased.

I've known Gina and Kerry for more years than they'd want me to say, back from their early Van Michael days. Van did my hair, and frequently one of them would do my mom's or my daughter's hair. Van Council (the Van of Van Michael) has won many, many awards for hairstyling, and from what I observed, everyone at his salon was well-versed in his precise cutting and styling techniques. When Van retired from doing hair on a regular basis, he recommended that I start going to Jeff. Jeff eventually left Van Michael, so I followed him to another salon and then to his own salon. One day I walked in, and there were Gina and Kerry!

In any case, Gina and Kerry have worked at some of the best salons in Buckhead, and we're lucky to have hairdressers of their caliber in SoWal.

Thanks for the recommendation, Donna. I already have a stylist I love, but not so with Merman. About eight or more years ago he got his hair cut at the beach and I kick myself a dozen times for not taking a card, because now I can't remember where he went to get one of the best cuts he's ever gotten. Of course, given the way businesses come and go, it's probably not even in existence any more (which would explain why he's never gone back  )

So I am really glad to hear there's a stellar place to get a good cut because that's where my man will be going next month! A good cut makes all the difference. :clap_1:
