Thanks so much...it's been a long history. One day I will write a book of short stories about the goings on around Grayton in the "old days" and funn times of craziness on the beach at night....a lot of sneaking around the neighborhood back then!!!!

I received the most wonderful Valentine, a Valentine Pi?ata. I absolutely LOVE it. Inside was filled with delicious CHOCOLATE hearts and a little message. I bet I am the only one that received money in my Valentine. Never let anyone tell you that you aren't creative!

Worked there as a hostess way back before the Red Bar when Ollie was the Chef for Bay Cafe and I sold my desserts in a tiny shoppe in Patrones. Geez that was before Doug and I was married and he and Randall Jones owned The Grayton Corner Cafe,
which of course has been D&K's Cafe for the past 6 years....talk about coming full circle!!!! That picture of the door I took off the web site.

What a perfectly wonderful (or wonderfully perfect?) Valentine's care package you sent me! I could not believe it!!!
My camera batteries are charging. I'll have pics within the hour. So much to share, and all so relevant. I can't wait to make my new 'tar.
BC you are the best, and you managed this all during tax season too.
But, ahem ... when the instructions say "make a handmade valentine," I tend to take that literally.
I made a valentine (with lots of affection and admiration ) and sent it. I notice other people sent care packages. This is typical of my life ... I really need things spelled out. My son was the kindergartener last year whose mom just had him send those little fold up valentines to his classmates. I had NO IDEA that kindergardeners made elaborate valentines, attached candy, etc. This year I THINK I got it right but there is probably some new first-grade level of valentine I did not know about. :roll:

Oh MY Gosh this is so much FUNN! I hate it but I have to go to work now...I've had so much fun reading and loving all the valentines. I have not got mine yet....and i don't think my secret valentine has received theirs yet....but good things come to those who wait! Again Happy Valentine's Day to all my SoWal Friends!!!! Can't wait to check back tonight....
