Hi Everyone,

This is a great site! I already have found so much info. on places to eat and things to do.

We are coming for a visit 6/30 thru 7/5 and was wondering if anyone had any info. on Grayton Beach State Park. We have rented one of the cabins there. Would like to know what the beach is like, is this a bad time for jellyfish and maybe a silly question, but do we have to worry about sharks and stingrays much. I will have two little girls with me who will be on their boogie boards, etc. and wonder if there is anything I should avoid.

Any help is so appreciated! Looking forward to the trip!

:welcome:texasgirl! Seems like lots of Texans are heading east these days!
GBSP is wonderful...the beach is perfect. Can't answer about marine pests, but someone else will chime in I'm sure. I think there's a little parade in GB on the 4th. ;-)
Have a great week!

Best part of staying there is that you can go to the beach on the 4th and watch the Seaside fireworks. That and the hundreds of smaller less professional displays along the beach.

P.S. The ranger does not take kindly to fireworks in the state park. ;-)

:welcome:
