The third Friday in January is Arbor Day in Florida and just in time for this prime planting season, the Walton County Master Gardeners are busy putting the finishing touches on their annual Plant & Tree Sale, which takes place the following day, Saturday, January 18! There is no better source of affordable Florida-Friendly, low-maintenance ornamental & fruit trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, vines, ferns and more! The plants available for sale are chosen for their ability to do well in local gardening zones and many of the plants are grown pesticide free.
Also, the Walton County 4-H program is offering their home-cooked Pancake Breakfast at 8:00 AM in conjunction with the Plant & Tree Sale!
Come out and make the plant sale a full morning event! Enjoy a delicious hot breakfast and support our youth in 4-H, then browse the excellent selection of plants and take advantage of our educational resources, agents, and Master Gardeners by learning about the plants you purchased and how to care for them as well as getting all your other pressing landscape questions answered!
The sale is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 9 AM to noon (or whenever we sell out!) at the Walton County Fair Grounds, 790 N 9th St (Hwy 83).
