Prairieville, La
I cannot recall. I don't frequent Steele Field Road, where it is located, but I bet there is a sign out front.

I have never seen a sign. Mark Partington travels by there daily, maybe something new has popped up. :dunno:

I don't know, but that's just bizarre looking. Maybe check the PA office records to see who it's owned by? I would love to go see what kind of structure (or lack thereof) it is... what a PITA to drive all the way around like that though. I'm really surprised there are no small bridges crossing over to that area though.

Didn't just pop up, It has been there for at least several years, judging by Google Earth images.

The County owns the property.

There used to be a ferry to get you across, located in Pt Washington.

It loosely reminded me about this Navy field in Pace...

You can see it when flying into Pensacola sometimes.
It looks pretty straight forward as far as some type of airport, but according to neighbors of the property, it's not used as an airstrip and IIRC, someone told me it's not listed as one either. From what I've heard, most people who live around it have no clue what it is.

Wasnt someone trying to develop some sort of airport/pilot oriented subdivision around there at one time?

Walton County bought the two tracks, totalling 100 acres from St Joe in 2002 for $152,300. Maybe St Joe had already stripped the land. All of the surrounding acerage is owned by NORTHWEST FLORIDA WATER MGMT, located in HAVANNA, FL.
