Sounds yum...I think I would eat through anything to get to cheesecake:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
see you there....what will you be wearing:rotfl:

Hmm  hadn't thought about it. If it's just a normal day it will be t-shirt and jeans. If I feel spiffy it'll be khaki's and a button down. If it's cold it'll be sweater and jeans. Cold and spiffy sweater and khaki's.I wonder how many people expected drag?

Coca-Cola Cake from the Atlanta Junior League's Cookbook, True Grits
This doesn't serve 25 - more like 6 because it's so good. :rotfl:It's one layer, BTW, but we love it.

Ingredients

FOR THE CAKE:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. unsalted butter
4 Tbsp. baking cocoa
1 c. Coca-Cola
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla extract

FOR THE FROSTING:
? c. unsalted butter
1-1/2 Tbsp. baking cocoa
? c. Coca-Cola
2 to 2-1/4 c. confectioner’s sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
? c. pecan halves

Method

For the cake, mix the sugar, flour, and baking powder in a bowl. Bring the butter, baking cocoa, and Coca-Cola to a boil in a medium saucepan, stirring to blend well. Pour over the dry ingredients gradually, mixing well.
Combine the buttermilk, egg, and vanilla in a bowl and mix well. Add to the batter and mix well. Spoon into two greased and floured nine-inch round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.

For the frosting, bring the butter, baking cocoa, and Coca-Cola to a boil in a medium saucepan, stirring to blend well; remove from heat. Stir in the confectioner’s sugar and vanilla. Pour the hot frosting over the warm cake; arrange pecans on top. Let stand until cool. Note: Don’t be surprised by the fact that the frosting will be a bit runny.

Thanks Beachcomber, Thats The Perfect Idea!!! I Called Fabrice And They Make A Choc. Layer Cake With Choc. Mousse In The Middle, And Ganache Icing!!! They Are Calling Me Back With Sizes And Prices-can Hardly Wait!!! I'm Forever Grateful. The Birthday Party Is Sun. And I Dont Get To Seagrove Till Sat., I Was Nuts To Think I'd Have Time To Make One From Scratch, Plus Everything Else Needed To Pull Tog. A Great Party. Best Part About Getting A Cake From Them Is The Birthday Girl Has Been To France,,loves French Pastries,(almost As Much As French Wine!) And I Dont Think She Knows Fabrice Is There. We Were In Sowal In Feb. And I Dont Think It Was There Yet. Did They Open Over The Summer? Thank You Sooooo Much! Urq
