Wave Boards

Today we went in search of a Wave Board for Dylan. I didn't realize this was going to be like searching for a Wii. :shock: We went to the Dicks Sporting Goods close to our house and a guy there said don't buy the Ripstick b/c it's junk. He told us another store had 6 wave boards so we set off into rush hour traffic to go get one on the other side of town. We arrive and guess what? Uh yeah, you guessed it. None. Nada. Zip. Grrrrr. They did have one on hold and I told him if they didn't come to pick it up tomorrow that we would take it.

Sowal has real surfing. We have to settle for street surfing.

What is a wave board? Like a skateboard? The picture does not show what the kid is standing on.

But I am glad to see there is a helmet in use, whatever he is doing!

I have not ordered from Target. Found this one on Amazon.com, and it notes that it is a Target item, shipping from and being sold by Target.

Holy Cow! I want one of those and a hill. That guy must have been going 35mph through that stop sign, and his bearings had to be overheating. Here is the Freeboard site for purchasing.

Thank SJ, we may end up ordering it online if we don't get one today. They're coming out with customized decks that are different colors so I think he should wait and get one of those.

Dylan wears a helmet!!! Especially now that he rides his bike everywhere. I liked the days when he rode back and forth in front of the house and I always knew where he was. A cell phone may be in his future earlier than I thought. The prepaid ones are cheaper than a family radio(walkie) now.
