Anybody here do a wedding on 30A that can make a recommendation.
My daugther is considering Watercolor first weekend in November.

Can you compare to Santa Rosa Beach Golf Club, Seaside, Rosemary Beach or for that matter anyplace that can provide a "turnkey" wedding if such a thing exists. Should be about 120 guests.

We have a place in Seagrove but we won't be able to spend a whole lot of time planning.

This is all new to us. My wife and I were married in her parents house. Her mother made the wedding cake.

You can look over this website. I used to work for them and know they take their customer satisfaction seriously, but, they are probably already booked for November,(usually a year in advance)but it can't hurt to ask.

My daughter got married in Watercolor at Cerulean Park two years ago. The rehearsal dinner was at The Bait House pool. It was a beautiful wedding and Watercolor did a fabulous job!! I highly recommend them.

I got married back in '06, and searched all over 30-A for the perfect place. All of the options you've mentioned are beautiful, and provide ideal locations for a wedding.

However, if you really want a "turn-key" wedding, your best bet would probably be the Santa Rosa Beach Club... on-site cooking staff, bar staffing, they've already got the tables and chairs, and they do weddings often--they've kind of got it down to a fine science. I probably would've had mine there, except they were still smarting after the hurricanes wiped out their Gulf-front cliff. :yikes: Boy, was that a mess!

I ended up getting married on the green by Lake Carillon down at the Carillon Beach community--not on 30-A, but just across Lake Powell in Bay County. It was fabulous, by the way, and a good time was had by all!

Keep in mind that most of the locales that you've looked at require that you contract with outside sourcing for chairs, tables, bar equipment and staffing, etc. They will all be very helpful, though, in coordinating these contractors, and helping you with organization. Most of them have lists of approved vendors for all your wedding needs.

Wherever she decides, be sure to remind her that it'll be over before she knows it, so focus on the really important things like getting everybody you love together for a fantastic party! Congratulations, and good luck!

Good info:clap: A planner can also cost a little but save you a great deal in headaches so you can enjoy the wedding as well.

I agree. Watercolor provided a wedding planner. It was stress-free and we enjoyed every minute.

I agree with most of the posts above, weather is a big issue. Make sure you or the planner have a back up plan.
