Vitter didn't lie about it for ten days, he stepped up to the plate and took responsibility. I'd say that more than anything is the reason he's still in office. Compare that to Andrew Weiner's handling.

Yeah right. Weiner failed to come clean about essentially doing nothing wrong. He lied about something that was embarrassing and no more. Give me a break. This is nothing. The Weiner will survive intact. His politcal career will thrive and he will bed lots of hot young women who crave pictures of his large American penis.

While Republicans are calling for Weiner to resign they are raising money for Vitter. Why aren't they offering the same forgiveness extended to Vitter?

All of these "family value" positions while screwing hookers, his whole life is a lie, what a family man.
It is amusing how Republicans caught in perverted situations always claim God has forgiven them so everything is ok now.

I'm not defending Weiner, I think both of these guys are creepy and if I were in their districts I wouldn't vote for either one of them but I have no say in their re-election.

On that we agree. Although I wouldn't consider Vitter a creep for soliciting a prostitute, he is a creep for cheating on his wife. He's also a hypocrite, as you point out, as such I wouldn't vote for him either.

Weird, in a coordinated effort, three top dems, Pelosi, Schultz, and Israel, all call on Weiner to resign. I wonder if they know of something that's about to break, or if it's just cover for the party.
