If he broke a law or rule he should be held to account
If I were Trump and I found out I had documents that I wasn't suppose to have I would have gone full co-op and just said / emailed to whomever 'you have my full cooperation, I have cc'd my lawyer and someone to let you into me place for you convience, lets set up a meeting for your people to come over and go through whatever you would like whenever is good for you, I am sorry if I did something wrong, lets make this right, what kind of lunch / drinks can we have ready for your people, once again I apologize for the inconvenience.'
If possible please stop with the sillyness in your posts, I have been very clear in my posts. I think the raid was a pollical stunt you do not, lets put that sword down neither is going to bend. My explanation is that anything he or his lawyer say to the special master is under oath. Once you play a card, you have to stick with it. If you don't, and try to play another card, it's going to come off as perjury. Their problem is that every fabricated story they come up with is going to have some unknown, unintended, negative consequences. They are at wit's end trying to figure out where to go with this. if he pleads the fifth, that may not help him much, because he has clearly broken the law. How seriously he has broken it is a point in question.
