The battle for American Identity is too close to call.
Trump's America is a network of sycophants who support his dictatorial power. His most powerful weapons are repeated misinformation, protecting concentrated wealth at the expense of everything, demonization of social programs, "constitutional" protections for the wealthy, resistance of social changes necessary for equal opportunities for all races and gender, ruthless sovereign control, political Christians and divisive rhetoric. He supports extremism.
Biden's America is seriously out of touch with rural America but overall is a network of people who support Democracy. His most powerful weapons are Truth and Justice for All. Social and economic programs are used to provide equal opportunities which serves the middle class and give the lower class support to move up. Economic growth is important but not an absolute. He is inclusive both nationally and internationally. He does not support extremism.
The midterms went better than expected but the battle for American Identity is ongoing. How does this play out in our Nation's history. Who wins and who loses? The majority of the people voting in this County and this State have sided with Trump's America. DeSantis is ready to take over if / when he gets the green light from the GOP. The Country is split almost 50/50. It kind of looks like the next two years will be more of the same. Inflation is at its highest in our lifetime and the Federal Reserve has limited tools to help. Many people vote with their pocketbook. The economic problems are serious but the division in our Country threatens our Democracy. My hope is that this State, this County and this Country does not give up completely on Biden's America. He ain't done yet...
