I am aware that hate is a complex emotion. I am also aware of the differences between our two political parties. However you need to realize that this forum is much too simplistic in terms of reality. We type words to express our emotions. That is the easy way out of conflict. We will have to get out and talk to people. I do this and I can assure you that it is very difficult. Both sides are very angry. Both sides hate. Solutions are hard and takes a lot more effort than typing words in a forum. The pandemic has made this conflict even worse. We can blame it on Donald Trump, the pandemic or hypocrisy or whatever but that will not solve the problem we now have with hate. It might even be too late. Electing politicians who we believe will solve this problem with hate is not practical. We all have to do something. I am no different than you. I use anger to motivate. But anger is dark and destructive. Be careful with anger. I am trying to learn skills that allow for forgiveness. What I have found so far is forgiveness is much harder than anger. Forgiveness is not an organic part of human emotion like anger. The bottom line is that politics is not a solution for us now. We will either learn how to forgive or we will fight until we lose our quality of life like has happened all thru history. We men like a good fight and it does not matter which side you are on. Most women have an extra sense about these things. If you watched 60 Minutes then we know there are exceptions but the bottom line is hatred is part of our complex human nature and we will either learn something better or not. Is it even possible at this point? I don’t know…
