They specifically pass legislation affecting Cis Straight White people?
Against our best interests regarding the environment, health, labor, guns, drugs, gender, civil rights ... you name it. We are all under fire to differnet degrees. Don't be thinking you're a special kind of martyr even if they want to snuff you faster.

You’re annoying
You were never even good enough to play
No I played football. Much tougher on the body. Do you know what the football version of a drill called bull pen is? Of course you don't cause there is nothing like it in baseball. One player gets inside a circle of all the other players on the team. Then the coach calls out a number and if your jersey is that number you better hit the guy in the middle of the circle with everything you got otherwise he will put you in the bull pen. Every number gets called and if you survive the bull pen you are tough. I got put in the bull pen once in 6 years of football for missing a practice. Most people quit before going to the bull pen. Me thinks you would be in that category :) Now hit the shower!

Just a little FYI
I had a half ride to NC State to play football (linebacker / tight end)
Football was my first love
My senior year I tear my achilles while wresting at districts
I get dropped from my football scholarship immediately
My brother (2 years older) was playing college baseball in Virginia (D-3)
I was going to go down and play with him
2 weeks before we take off I get a call from a college coach at Long Island University (D-1)
One of their players signed to play pro ball late in the summer
A half ride opens up, they come down and watch me play summer ball
Coach offers me the scholarship and sweetens the deal with a full ride (1/2 athletic 1/2 academic)
After my freshmen year they throw in room, food, and books
Long story short they pretty much paid me to go to school

We called it 'bull in the ring' and it wasn't that bad

I don't think Matt is trying to be a martyr. I think he is expressing how it feels to live in a society that is exclusive not inclusive. Society is changing but it is slow and people do suffer.

Okay great! Now guess which of the last two Presidents played football and the other played hooky :)

If you think it was not that bad then you were never in the ring. I have three fractures in my back from that one time in the ring...

We did 'bull in the ring' about 5-6 times a year and during the last practice of the year for the seniors (I'm sure you remember how emotional the last practice was for seniors)
When we did it you only took about 6-7 hits before they rotated someone new in
I don't remember doing it with the whole team because the circle would have been huge, I can't remember
I hated the 'Oklahoma' drill (no blocker or D linemen) defense started on his back, runner had to go backwards 2 steps to grab the ball, thats the drill I didn't like

We had an awesome wrestling program, the most fun was a takedown drill where it started at the lightest weight and worked it way up
Of all the sports I played wrestling was the hardest, someone famously said 'once you wrestle everything else is easy'

I didn't love baseball till I got to college, it was too boring when I was young

Well we did the whole team and you could not breath which was worse than the pain in my back. It only happened about twice a season when the coach needed to shake us up. Back then the fractures were not diagnosed and you continued to play. We had to play both ways and during practice the coaches limited our water intake to 3 seconds at a spigot. The ignorance was off the charts but sports science was not a thing. Yet we had to have all our "shots" to play a sport and a full physical. What the hell changed people like you?

We were the same with water, looking back it was uber stupid but it wasn't open for debate
What do you mean 'What the hell changed people like you?'

We had to have all our vaccines up to date or we could not play a sport. We did not fear things like that. They told us there could be side effects but you just did it for the greater good.
