My comment was not about credit, it was about context. Until they clarified what they meant, one could argue they were working to indoctrinate kids. Then they clarified it because it wasn't them they wanted you to fear but everyone else. At least how I read it. This type of argument has easily been ongoing for decades. One thing it comes down to is parental responsibility. But imo we have gone to extremes to where everyone is a complaining about everything. Government, Left and Right, is so entrenched it education to the point teachers and students are the casualties. Folks may not like this, but I think the State and Federal Governments should not be involved. Communities, School Districts should determine what is going to be taught and pay for it locally. I realize this will create a uneven education system, but at least it will be our fault and more difficult to blame those at the State and Federal level for all the problems.
Congrats you are getting closer to homeschooling.

Seems their is a serious rift.
A lot of times rifts are good, it means people are seeing stuff different and care enough to argue their views. If they all just fell in lock step we would call them democrats

All 3 of my kids were homeschooled and then attended public school. The issue for some families is cost and working parents. I am not opposed to public education, I am opposed to government to far away from local communities making decisions, ie State and Federal Government. I am just as opposed with State Government infringement upon my local government entities ability to regulate local issues.

Then why did republicans do a 180 on their public statements about Jan 6 and continue to spread the lie the election was stolen if it isn’t to be in “lockstep?”
Rewriting history has become a full time job for conservatives.

Or going after Liz Cheney
Or censuring Adam Schiff
Or primarying anyone who speaks against Trump

The GOP isn't in lockstep, goose step would be a much more accurate term.

Who changed their view on Jan 6th? It wasn't much on Jan 6th and hasn't been since no matter how many edited videos the left puts out
