That would be hilarious if dating sites automatically added a warning to their profiles. Wonder how many people are scrubbing all references to trump from their profiles.

The evidence gives lie to claims by right-wing pundits and Republican officials such as Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., that the violence was perpetrated by left-wing antifa thugs rather than supporters of the president.
“If the reports are true,” Gaetz said on the House floor just hours after the attack, “some of the people who breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters. They were masquerading as Trump supporters and, in fact, were members of the violent terrorist group antifa.”
Steven D’Antuono, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington field office, told reporters that investigators had seen “no indication” antifa activists were disguised as Trump supporters in Wednesday’s riot.

I wonder why the word "deplorable" hasn't been used a little more this week. "criminal" seems to be be a little more appropriate.
What I find the most sadly humorous is that backing the blue is an in vogue thing unless you are trying to interfere with the take over of the Capitol or you are investigating and arresting someone from one's own party, then you are part of a grand conspiracy. What is wrong with these people. Does anyone know what Representatives Gaetz view on term limits are? Now might be a perfect time to persuade me to change my opposition to it.
Okay that answer is a lot easier. First they have no conscience. Second they have they have found a gold mine in hyper-politicization. Third they have tasted the blood in authoritarian power. Fourth they have chosen to reject democracy and consider it a weakness. Again, just my opinion and I hope I am wrong...

I think the elephant in the room is whether or not we Trust elected officials to represent us. In a democracy there must be trust but verify. Politicians do say a lot of words and I don't think we should rely more on their words than we do their actions. We need good information sources. Not biased information sources. Our American democracy is being affected by social media, 24 hour mainstream media and tons of misinformation coming from extremely biased sources. So conspiracies are easier to get started and even become like a cult following of people who do not care about anything but selfish reasoning. We the people have to first recognize our selfishness before searching for accurate information. Humans are greedy and selfish. Politicians are human. Democracy is a slow process of getting things right. We want to believe that the people we vote for are good but a democracy requires us to continue our verification process. The longer a human has power the more opportunity there is for corruption. HOWEVER there are exceptions and I believe Joe Biden is a good human. He may be a rare exception. Anyway my point is that term limits is an issue that we the people need to be aligned on. I think term limits improve our democracy because it means that we will not get complacent on verification.
