The Stories of our Times podcast has spoken to a Ukrainian businessman who has admitted, for the first time, that he was asked to lie about Hunter Biden’s business dealings to damage Joe Biden’s reputation. In return, he was promised a US visa and legal immunity.

If we were hoping for a smooth transition hope no more. It is obvious that a person like Trump with power does not care about people or democracy and about half of the country supports a Trump dictatorship. If it looks like a dictator, acts like a dictator and smells like a dictator well it must be a dictator. Wealthy people like Trump have no understanding or caring of we the people. People are just a tools that are used to support the whims of the dictator. Republicans have become a tool for Trump. Half of we the people have become a tool for Trump. It is very hard not to be alarmed at what is happening but people this is rapidly becoming a dangerous situation. What could be worse than a 2024 Trump Presidency is a 2020 take over of the military. Now those Trump supporters that I have been trying hard to forgive and move on with a sense of unity will either become my friend in our United States of America or my foe in our Divided States of America. I am not an optimist but boy could I use it right now. Biden is trying to tone down our sense of danger ahead so I am going to listen and follow that message. That said my pessimism is very strong which is a sense of reality and in this case reality means be prepared for danger ahead. I hope my senses are wrong and there is no real threat and Trump is just using his executive power to hurt people that did not support his every whim on his way out but at some point it may be time to consider the reality before us...

The one good thing for me that came out of the Trump Presidency is that I am no longer going to be associated with the republican party. There is no future for me in that party. I will support moderate democrats from now on and my complete allegiance will be in that party. Thank you Donald Trump for opening my eyes! I will not be a "f___ you" type of democrat but I will try to be a "how can I help you" type of democrat which is more like Joe Biden. Both myself and Joe Biden will of course be tested by the "f___ you and the horse you rode in on" republicans. Republicans have gone over a cliff with the promise of protection. We will see how many republicans survive and how many figure out a leap of faith in Trump's promises is a threat to your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness...
