Louisvillian here. Rural ky began voting republican nationally maybe around Clinton. Then began voting state wide republican a few governors ago. Our democratic governor Beshear only won by 5,000 votes and the republican Bevin, might have been as looney as 45. Too many are racists and hate big cities. (Began realizing this in the 1960s.) These people live in areas where minorities don't exist. There's no diversity. Social media has given them a voice and 45 a leader. These people have guns. They block legal alcohol sales, but buy their alcohol from bootleggers or the next county. They play the state lottery but won't approve money raising gambling. And yet every six years they re elect McMitch who they don't seem to realize lives in Louisville in one of the most liberal parts of the state, the original Highlands. I guess I would say maybe you can go after rural areas elsewhere but forget about ky. Ellen
It really does come down to guns, bibles, bigotry and ignorance in rural America.

trump supporters are truly the willfully ignorant. The various conspiracies of wide spread voting fraud are debunked on a regular basis yet they still choose to be the low info morons we all suspected they were. In a normal world a leader would take credit for one of the most secure elections in history, but there is nothing normal about trump. Instead he is gleefully cashing in on this ignorance proving a conman doesn’t need to be smart when his victims are stupid.

No, everyone will remember he is a liar and two time whiny b**ch loser who will throw anyone under the bus to save his own ass and those Governors were the ones who protected our democracy and election integrity.

Guns, bibles and other cultural values. Bigotry and ignorance describes all of us to various degrees. If you are White just Saying that you or I am not a bigot or have ignorance does not make it so. Why do you believe that Black men are leaving the Democratic Party? Progressives will have to get over the fact that white people should talk less and do more in race relations if you want to be morally and intellectually superior.

“Gov. Kemp owes his position, quite frankly, to Donald Trump. You know, it would be nice if he reciprocated in some way, not just to make sure that this goes the way we know it went for the president but for the American people. I mean, he owes it to all of us to do the right thing here.”
Lara trump on Kemp owing a quid pro quo to the man who was impeached for demanding a quid pro quo that republicans said wasn’t a quid pro quo.
