Congrats on the new car, DD! Are you driving it to the soiree (not that I'll be there to see it)?

Hmmm, I'll have to think of a good Italian name for it. I've always liked the name Lucca. You could name the car "Abba" or "Abby", short for "Abudanza" which means "abundance" in Italian and Italians tend to use the word for toasts and when referring to food/life. Or you could call the car "Tootie" as a shortened version of "Ti voglio bene" which is a variation of "I love you" in Italian (Tootie is a real stretch, but these are some of my favorite words/phrases in Italian but don't sound quite right for a car).

Thanks. Yes, she's making her maiden voyage to SoWal in a couple of weeks. Hmmm...Paula, Abba reminds me of Mama Mia. I'm sorry to say that that movie did nothing for me. Just like ABBA never did. Keep thinking though, I'm sure you'll come up with something. I do sorta like
odia vento though. It has a ring to it.

We've been shopping for a crossover too and we have it narrowed down to a Toyota Venza. Now, a Murano or an Acura would have probably been my 1st choice "looks" wise but we need something a bit bigger for hauling stuff (cello, etc.) back and forth to college, etc. But so far because this Venza is new Toyota is not ready to deal any off the price. Mr. JR thinks perseverance will pay off in the end. I hate waiting.

Congrats DD!!! I bet you look FAB in it!!

Thanks, yes English is fine, yes, it a crossover, and yes it will look fab on 30A.
I looked at the Ford Flex, and liked it somewhat, but it reminded me of a school bus for some reason. Anyway, I'm glad to have it over with. I hate buying a car--the whole process--and now I don't have to do it til I need tires again!!

When we traded in the Escalade I looked at the Flex's. I thought they looked cool but to low to the ground. I like to be up high so I can see!! I hope to see the new ride at the soiree~~
